Biography
Dr. Yunus Celik is an academic and researcher with expertise in computer and information science, complemented by a background in electrical and electronics engineering. He completed his PhD at Northumbria University, UK, where he worked on using wearable technologies and multi-modal approaches to study gait in neurological disorders. His research interests include wearable technology, data fusion, and clinical assessments.
Dr. Celik worked as a post doctorate research fellow at Northumbria University in collaboration with Lockheed Martin. He has previously worked as a Lecturer at Northumbria University and QA Pathway Northumbria, as well as a Research Assistant at universities in Turkey. Over the years, he has gained experience in teaching, research, and project management.
He is skilled in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and C++, and has experience in data analysis, machine learning, and cloud computing. Dr. Celik has contributed to several publications in journals, conferences, and book chapters, focusing on wearable technology and gait analysis.
He has been fortunate to receive awards and scholarships, including the ESMAC Travel Grant and a PhD Scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of National Education. Dr. Celik has also had the opportunity to collaborate on international projects related to Parkinson’s disease research, gait analysis, and wearable technology.
