As a result of the internalizaton of English and increasing use of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF), there are rising questons and discussions related to English language teaching pedagogy. In this regard, this qualitatve case study investgates English language instructors’ ELF awareness and teaching practces, working at the
department of foreign languages of a private university in Istanbul. The data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews conducted with 25 teachers
and analyzed through inductve analysis. The analysis of the data revealed the perceptons and beliefs of teachers related to ELF and the implicatons of ELF in their
pedagogical practces. The study provides signifcant implicatons for EFL instructors’ teaching practices.
