Özet

Effects of W powder particle size (mean size 10.5 μm and 3.4 μm) and powder mixing method (turbula mixer and attritor mill) on the tensile properties of the 92.5%W-5.25%Ni-2.25%Fe and 90%W-7%Ni-3%Fe heavy alloys were investigated. Powder mixtures with W particle size of 10.5 μm and powder mixtures prepared in the attritor mill, in general, led to heavy alloys with better properties compared to those of the alloys of turbula mixed powders containing finer W particles (3.4 μm). The tensile properties of the heavy alloys have been improved to tensile strength of > 950 Mpa and elongation of >%25.
