Özet

Introductıon: Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) is a malignant skin tumor associated

with ultraviolet (UV) radiation, particularly in areas with white or sparse hair. The

nasal planum, eyelids, and pinna are the most frequently affected regions. While

characterized by superficial lesions in the early stages, the disease progresses to an

erosive and ulcerative form showing deep tissue invasion if left untreated.Materials and Methods: A two-year-old female Tuxedo cat was presented to the

Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa Veterinary Health Application and Research Center

Otorhinolaryngology Clinic with a non-healing, progressive wound on the right pinna.

The history revealed the lesion started two months prior and exacerbated despite

systemic and topical treatments.Results: Clinical examination showed a lesion characterized by lysis invading the

vertical ear canal (VDKK) and causing tissue loss on the pinna. Histopathological

examination confirmed "Poorly Differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma." Radical

surgery involving Right Total Pinnectomy and Vertical Ear Canal Resection was

performed.Conclusion: Histopathologically defined "poorly differentiated" SCC cases are known

for their high anaplastic effects and aggressive invasion tendencies into surrounding

tissues. In this case, in addition to the pinnectomy, VEEC resection was aimed at

eliminating potential tumor invasion along the external acoustic canal. The healing

process was supported by systemic antibiotic and analgesic treatments administered
