The situation that the inability of the dam to deliver its young through its own effort con- sidered as dystocia. Dystocia, diarrhea, mastitis, lameness and respiratory tract diseases are the most common diseases in dairy and beef cattle. The incidence of dystocia in cows varies between 3-10%. In addition, this rate can be much higher in the presence of various predisposing factors. Mastitis is the most common pathology in the dairy industry. It constitutes the most important economic loss of enter- prises due to its negative impact on milk production and quality. A very important part of mastitis is caused by bacteria. However, there is a very important list of predisposing factors behind it. Mastitis formation can be supported by many factors, as well as due to dystocia. In this review, the relationship between dystocia and mastitis and the prevention of mastitis are discussed.
Annenin kendi çabasıyla yavrusunu doğuramaması durumu güç doğum olarak değerlendirilir. Süt ve besi sığırlarında güç doğum, ishal, mastitis, topallık ve solunum yolu hastalıkları en sık gözlenen hastalıklardır. İneklerde güç doğum insidansı %3-10 arasında değişmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra çeşitli ha- zırlayıcı faktörler varlığında bu oran çok daha yüksek olabilmektedir. Mastitis süt sektöründe en çok rastlanılan patolojidir. Süt üretimi ve kalitesi üzerindeki olumsuz etkisinden dolayı işletmelerin en önemli ekonomik kaybını oluşturur. Mastitislerin çok önemli bir kısmı bakteriler tarafından oluşturulur. Ancak arkasında çok önemli bir hazırlayıcı faktörler listesi vardır. Pek çok faktörün yanı sıra güç doğum nede- niyle de mastitis oluşumu desteklenebilir. Bu derlemede güç doğum ile mastitis arasındaki ilişkiden ve alınabilecek önlemlerden bahsedilmiştir.
