The Strait of Çanakkale (Dardanelles), the Strait of İstanbul and the Sea of Marmara together connect the Black Sea to the Aegean, and geographically the İstanbul Strait constitutes the most southern channel in the system “Marmara Passage”, consisting of the Sea of Marmara and the Strait of Çanakkale . The Strait of Çanakkale is a narrow field which has 74.1 km in length and 1.3-7.5 km in width. This study supported by TUBITAK (ÇAYDAG-104Y024) includes the assessment of the shallow seismic and multi-beam bathymetric data. First of all, in the result of stratigraphic assessment of the shallow seismic data obtained from the Strait of Çanakkale by Turkish Naval Forces, Office of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography separated from each other through inner reflection embodiment and incompatibility correlation/compatibility surfaces, the four units were determined. Furthermore, through these data, upper face depth- thickness maps were produced. In the result of the structural interpretation of the seismic sections in the Strait of Çanakkale, the evidences of active faults on the reflection surfaces observed on these parts were found. In the result of interpretation of digital elevation model comprised from the combination of the multi-beam bathymetric data and the digital topographic data, general morphological features were attempted to be determined.
