National Forestry Programme of Turkey has been prepared and put into practice in 2004. After analyzing national forestry, the programme developed principles, aims, policies and strategies and also includes an action programme for the next 20 years. On the other hand a new legislation has made 2B areas which were formerly forest and accepted as non-forest because of their qualification lost to be sold. This article aims to define whether that legislation is appropriate to National Forestry Programme for Turkey or not. As results of investigations the legislation is majorly not appropriate to National Forestry Programme for Turkey. The programme should be revised in a participatory way under actual conditions and should be made obligatory for all related institutions. 2B are as should be sold at higher price level and incomes should be used primarily for forestry aims.
