Abstract

BACKGROUND: Delayed enhancing white matter lesions are a rare complication that develops after endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms, the etiology of which remains unclear. - METHODS AND RESULTS: We present a 52 -year -old female patient who was symptomatic with a seizure-like condition and showed reversible cranial parenchymal changes with high -dose cortisone treatment after endovascular stent-assisted coil embolization for an unruptured aneurysm in the internal cerebral artery. - CONCLUSIONS: Clinicians should be alert to this rare complication and should follow patients fora long time due to its fluctuating and long -term course.
