İ.Ü.Veteriner Fakültesi hayvan hastanesine abort yapan ve daha sonra gebe kalmama şikayetleri ile gelen kısrağa klinik ve ultrasonik muayeneler uygulanmıştır. Ultrasonik muayenede uterusta az miktarda sıvı saptanmıştır. Bu kısraklardan alman swaplardan Actinobacillus equuli izole ve identifıye edilmiştir. Yapılan antibiyotik duyarlılık testinde etken 14 antibiyotikten sadece Enoxacin ve Lincospectin'e duyarlı bulunmuştur.
Clinical and ultrasoun examination were applied to a mare with a history of abortus and infertility.Little amount of fluid was detected in uterus by ultrasound. Actinobacillus equuli was isolated from the swaps taken from the cervix of the mare. Antibiotic sensitivity test was performed using 14 different antibiotics. The microorganizm was sensitive to Enoxacin and Lincospectin.
