Özet

In recent years, with the growing interest in nanotechnology, coumarin-based nanocarrier systems have emerged as a groundbreaking innovation in the field of drug delivery. These revolutionary nanosystems incorporate photoreactive components such as coumarin derivatives, endowing them with light sensitivity. Nanocarriers have certain physical, chemical, surface, and biological characteristics that make them the preferred nanomaterial for regulated drug delivery systems. Coumarin-based nanocarriers have become more and more in demand recently, especially in cancer treatments, because of their performance to facilitate targeted drug release systems and enhance drug accumulation in specific areas, hence reducing side effects. This has made treatment more affordable, eco-friendly, and efficacious than with conventional drug delivery strategies. A thorough analysis of coumarin-based nanocarriers, particularly in cancer treatments, has been carried out in this chapter. Novel coumarin nanocarrier systems with inorganic or polymeric nanosystems are highlighted. Furthermore, a thorough discussion is held regarding the development and design of biocompatible and biodegradable nanoagents aimed at aiding in the treatment of various types of cancer. These studies highlight the importance of coumarin nanocarriers in cancer therapy, which has a significant positive impact on both human and animal health. This development represents a change from traditional drug delivery methods to a more affordable, sustainable, and efficacious therapeutic approach.
