: Internet banking and e-commerce web applications offered on the internet and it makes our way of lives much more comfortable and easier. The services provided by institutions with these applications have led to the need to collect some personal data to verify the authenticity of the customer. An asynchronous awareness training material has been prepared in order to increase the awareness of the users about General Data Protection Law (GDPR). A pre-test and post-test were applied to measure the awareness levels of the participants before and after the training, and users were allowed to access the training material after completing the pre-test. In the light of the studies and the feedback received from the participants, it has been concluded that the distance education models have not yet reached the desired maturity. The problems that users experience in accessing the LMS, the difficulties they experience while receiving training in the system, and the complexity of the system interface can be given as examples to the areas that constitute the basis for the acquisition of this opinion. As a result of the feedback received, it has been concluded that the web media interfaces where users attend or receive training should be user-friendly, have a homepage that can attract the attention of the participant, and design improvements must be made to increase the desire and enthusiasm of the participants to participate in the training.
