Özet

This study examines the multidimensional process of successful and healthy aging by exploring the life experiences of older adults who successfully maintain well-being across physical, psychological, social, and spiritual domains. Findings highlight the role of healthy nutrition, positive attitudes, and spiritual beliefs in sustaining meaning in life and resilience in the face of aging-related challenges. Socio-economic advantages and urban living environments were found to provide broader opportunities for engagement in physical and social activities, which in turn foster health and vitality. Moreover, the study emphasizes the importance of social support mechanisms, family ties, and community interaction as key factors in maintaining mental health and preventing social isolation. Active participation in decision-making processes was identified as a determinant of dignity, autonomy, and intergenerational respect. The research further underscores that intergenerational projects, lifelong learning opportunities, and community-based initiatives strengthen both social cohesion and the overall well-being of older adults. Policy implications include the expansion of home care services, the development of age-friendly infrastructures, and the creation of participatory programs that empower elderly individuals as active contributors to society. By integrating these elements into a holistic framework, this study contributes to the literature on aging by offering a comprehensive perspective that connects individual resilience with broader social structures. Ultimately, it provides guidance for designing sustainable strategies that support healthy and meaningful aging at both personal and societal levels.
