Due to its geographical location, the island of Cyprus has always been in close contact with the port cities of the eastern Mediterranean coasts. It is also possible to mention such a connection with the ports of Icel sanjak, after the island entered under the administration of the Ottoman State. Although the Icel ports such as Silifke, Akliman, Gilindire and Anamur were behind the other major ports of the region in terms of their commercial volumes, there was a trade based on mutual goods exchange between them and Cyprus. In this paper, firstly, the general condition and possible changes will be monitored during the Ottoman administration. Then, the commercial records in the Customs Register of Icel Ports -dated 1834- will be examined. According to the records in this register, half of the traders who trade between the island and the Icel coasts are Cypriot, and they have a significant volume in total trade. The characteristics of merchant class and merchandise items, and whether there are any changes depending on the conditions of the period since the 19th century. The main sources of the research are documents and records in the Ottoman Archives. In addition, the observations of western travelers who have visited the island have been looked at and benefited from relevant secondary sources.
