Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have entered our lives with an activity beyond the expected areas of use in daily life. Although the most common area of use was social media use and recreational and sports areas, following video and photo shooting, they started to be used in different professions with the involvement of professionals. The application of technology that develops day by day in these vehicles has added different attachments such as Lidar, Multispectral and Thermal sensors beyond artificial intelligence (AI) supported autonomous flights and high-resolution cameras. When evaluated in terms of payload; a breakthrough was made in areas of use such as search and rescue, fire extinguishing, transportation, traffic controls, structural damage detection and power plant fault detection and mapping. In ground-based professions; considering the size of the fields worked and the time savings, photogrammetric solutions and 3D modeling with the high precision it brings have become preferable in many professions. With the classical studies done before, it was not possible to go beyond photographing geological heritage elements. The damages or geological features of these natural monuments that needed to be protected could not be measured as desired. However, with 3D models prepared with horizontal or vertical photo series that have data beyond the taken photos, wear can be measured on a millimeter basis and it is possible to see, observe and follow up in time a broken piece or a newly formed crack. Whether it is a map produced with orthophoto technique from a series of photographs or a vertical orthophoto model, software that brings together the common points of these series of photographs creates a large number of node points. It converts each node point into a digital data with x, y, z references. The RGB values of each pixel getting from the taken photo are also added to this. The data stack where all these points come together is called Cloud data and is stored as a point cloud. Whether in a new geopark inventory study or in an established geopark; wear and tear and anthropogenic damages in geosites can be easily detected and necessary precautions can be taken. It is possible to re-plan routes or create new routes and to periodically record current changes in the field and observe the changes.

In this paper, the studies that can be conducted with unmanned aerial vehicles in a geopark area and the applications of these studies on sample aspiring geopark areas will be discussed.
