and the sports organizations of North Carolina (NC) State University (North Carolina, USA) to establish an effective sport system structure in our university. The
research period was 70 days in total, effective from the start date of research. The first research works were conducted at NC State University and Duke University,
North Carolina, USA. Face-to-face interviews with officers about current sports systems of the universities and their sports organizations. Sports facilities of
the universities have been surveyed on-site. After examining the sports systems and the sports structure of American universities, it was concluded that there
are two separate sports structures for the students participating in recreational activities and the licensed athletes competing in university leagues. Education
departments have been establishing certificate programs other than student training. As a result, it is seen that overseas universities have been setting up
facilities for their students to do recreational activities. These universities are establishing facilities and departments for the recreational activities. Each of these
universities has an athletic department that prepares sports teams for professional sport competitions. Universities are increasing their income with summer
and winter schools. The mascot of the University creates another income stream by being placed on all university products sold.
