Özet

In this study, the neuromuscular effects of cisatracurium were compared between morbidly obese and normal weight patients. Morbidly obese patients are named morbidly obese group (n=20), and normal patients are named control group (n=20). In the morbidly obese group, corrected weight was used to calculate the drug doses. 0.15 mg kg-1 cisatracurium was administered. T0 (onset time), T25 (25% recovery of T1), T25-75 (time of T25 to T75) time of according to TOF was recorded. Body mass index values were found to be 55±5 kg m-2, 22±4 kg m-2 in the morbidly obese and control groups, respectively. T0 was determined 177±23 s, 168±19 s in the morbidly obese, and control group, respectively. T25 was determined 46±7 min, 56±8 min, in the morbidly obese and control group, respectively (p<0.05). T25-75 was determined 11±5 min, 14±6 min in the morbidly obese and control group, respectively (p<0.05). In the morbidly obese group, intubation conditions were determined good in 13 patients, excellent in 7 patients, and it were good in 4, excellent in 16 in the control group (p<0.05). When compared to normal weight patients, neuromuscular effects of cisatracurium detected to be short in duration in morbidly obese patients.
