Mobile phones have become indispensable tools of daily life with their increasing functions. Mobile operating system developers and mobile device manufacturers are trying to host new features in order to stay ahead of the competition, and they are trying to integrate the solutions found by other developers before them into their own devices. While there are many brands in the market for mobile devices, there is a fierce competition between Apple's iOS and Google's Android operating systems as mobile operating systems. While this competition is focused on design and functionality, the concept of security stands out as an item that should definitely be considered when keeping sensitive information on devices. This article examines the security structures of iOS and Android operating systems from different perspectives and aims to make comparisons by revealing their strengths and weaknesses.
