Özet

Candida parapsilosis is a normal saprophyte of the skin and is characterized by the affinity for central venous catheters. Over the past decade, reports indicate that Candida parapsilosis is often the second most commonly isolated Candida species from blood cultures. This species has significantly lower sensitivity in vitro to echinocandins than other Candida species. In this paper, we have presented a case of Candida parapsilosis catheter-related sepsis in a patient with chronic renal failure.
