Bu çalışmada İtalya ve Türkiye’den 40 öğretmen adayının bir eTwinning projesine katılımlarına ilişkin motivasyonlarının, hedeflerinin, ilgi alanlarının ve beklentilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. "Geleceğin Öğretmenleri için eTwinning" girişimi, Avrupa Eğitim Alanı profesyonel eğitim platformundan yararlanma imkanı sağlamak amacıyla eğitim fakülteleri arasında eTwinning proje faaliyetini başlatmıştır (ESEP, 2022). ESEP Platformu öğretmen, öğrenci, öğretmen adayı ve akademisyenlerin fikir paylaşımı, proje oluşturma, projelere ortak bulma ve eğitimde iyi uygulamaları yaygınlaştırma amacıyla Avrupa Komisyonu desteği ile oluşturulmuş çevrimiçi çalışma alanıdır. İlköğretime dayalı eTwinning projelerine ilişkin bulgular, proje tabanlı öğrenme, 21. yüzyıl becerileri ve öğretmenlik mesleği konularına ilişkin önemli verilere işaret ederken, eğitim fakültelerinin bu alanlarla entegre girişimlerinin oldukça az sayıda olduğu görülmektedir. eTwinning etkinlikleri aracılığıyla, öğretmen eğitimcileri ve öğretmen adayları teknolojik ve pedagojik yenilikleri deneyebilir, uygulamalar üzerinde düşünebilir ve yeterlilikler geliştirebilirler. Ayrıca etkili öğretim için öğretmenlik mesleğine ilişkin daha derin bir anlayış kazanabilirler (Avrupa Komisyonu, 2023). 40 öğretmen adayı ile yürütülen araştırmada uygulamanın gerçekleştirileceği çalışma grubu için ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma için, nitel veri toplamanın ana aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile gruplandırılmış, organize edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır.
This study aimed to determine the motivations, goals, interests and expectations of 40 teacher candidates from İtaly and Türkiye regarding their participation in the initial teacher education eTwinning project. "eTwinning Initiative for Future Teachers" has launched the eTwinning activity among education faculties to provide the opportunity to benefit from the European School Education Platform in European Education Area (ESEP, 2022). The Platform is an online workspace created and financed by the European Commission, for teachers, students, teacher candidates and academicians to share ideas, create projects, find partners for projects and disseminate good practices in education. While the findings regarding primary education-based eTwinning projects point to important data on project-based learning, 21st century skills and teaching profession, it appears that education faculties' integrated initiatives in these areas are very few. Through eTwinning activities, teacher educators and teacher candidates can try technological and pedagogical innovations, reflect on practices and develop competencies. They can also gain a deeper understanding of the teaching profession for effective teaching (European Commission, 2023). For the study in which the application was carried out with teacher candidates, criterion sampling method was used . For the research, a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers was used as the main tool of qualitative data collection. The collected data were grouped, organized and interpreted through the descriptive analysis method.
