Climate change is defined as
‘changes in climate resulting from human activities that directly or indirectly
alter the composition of the atmosphere, in addition to natural seasonal
variations observed over comparable time periods.’ Climate change is also
defined as long-term changes in weather patterns and temperatures. Climate
change can also occur as a result of many natural events, such as droughts and
significant volcanic eruptions. It has been observed that climate change has
accelerated, particularly since the 1800s, as a result of human-induced
factors. It is reported that, due to the impact of current main factors, global
warming has occurred more rapidly over the last 200 years than in the previous
2000 years.
