The role of patients rights advocacy which was identified in the nursery codes was defined primarily by American Nurses Association in 1976 as a process of ` providing informed consent by guaranteeing it unostentatiously, preventing unnecessary explanation and transactions, keeping the patient away from sexual harassment, and preventing the manipulation of the health personnel or authority figure for his own interests by being on the patient's side. Being one of the contemporary roles of the nurses in the literature this role is based on human patient rights.
