Özet
Creating interactive digital materials has often required either working within the constraints of authoring tools or drawing on programming expertise. AI-assisted coding begins to change this, since teachers can now obtain working artefacts by describing them in ordinary language. Easier production leaves two questions open: whether an artefact is worth building and whether it serves its learners. The chapter therefore separates two kinds of work: building an artefact and judging its pedagogical and technical adequacy, both when it is planned and after it is built. For some small artefacts, AI-assisted coding can reduce the expertise and effort needed to build them. It does not lower the standards by which the result must be judged, even where tools perform some checks, and a working artefact can hide a failure to meet them. The chapter proposes a typology of teacher-built artefacts organised by whether each receives learner input and what it does with it, and examines the costs that arise once a working version exists: maintenance and abandonment, accessibility, learner data, ownership, and artefacts that work but teach little. It closes with a five-item checklist covering planning, testing, and first use, and with implications for teacher education.
