Özet

Breast cancer is the kind of cancer that affects women the most frequently worldwide. Treatment for breast cancer is difficult because of the disease's complex etiology. Alterations to the cell division cycle are frequently seen in several cancer forms, including breast cancer. Chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and hormone therapy are common treatments; nonetheless, unfavorable side effects and multidrug resistance cause difficulties and non-compliance. Phytonutrients play an important role in human health in addition to the functions they provide to plants. Of the numerous health benefits of phytonutrients, their potential for anticancer effect is promising. Phytonutrients inhibit breast carcinoma by inducing apoptosis, reducing cell proliferation and metastasis, and suppressing angiogenesis. As a result, there is a rising demand for natural goods made from foods and medicinal plants. This chapter outlines strategies by which natural chemicals may exert their therapeutic efficacy in the treatment of breast cancer and explains the molecular mechanisms of signaling pathways in breast cancer.
