Özet

The growth of the elderly population and the increasing burden of chronic diseases have increased the importance of home-based health monitoring technologies. These technologies, supported by telehealth platforms, wearable devices, sensors, and digital health applications, enable continuous monitoring without frequent hospital visits. This study presents a bibliometric analysis of research on home-based health monitoring for older adults. A total of 581 publications indexed in the Web of Science database between 2006 and 2026 were analyzed using the Bibliometrix R package. The analysis examined publication trends, leading authors, journals, countries, collaboration networks, and research themes. The findings show a significant increase in scientific production, especially after 2020. Keyword and thematic analyses highlight growing interest in digital health, wearable technologies, artificial intelligence, and personalized healthcare. Overall, the results indicate that home-based health monitoring is becoming an important and rapidly growing research field.
