Ulusal Toz Metalurjisi Konferansi: Second National Powder Metallurgy Conference, Ankara, Türkiye, 15 - 17 Eylül 1999, ss.703-708, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
The binder system comprise a major fraction of polyethleneglycols (PEGs) of various molecular weights and a minor fraction of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) in the form of an emulsion, in some cases, stearic acid have been used to injection mould 316L stainless steel powder having a median particle size of about 25 μm. Introduction of stearic acid allows to increase powder loading from 63 vol.% to 68 vol.%. The PEG content, which was 88 wt % of the binder was completely removed from the moulded components by leaching in water at 60°C within 3 hours. The debinded samples were sintered at different temperatures up to 1370°C for various times.
