Sjögren’s-like syndrome is a chronic and systemic autoimmune disorder primarilyaffecting the exocrine glands, leading to symptoms such as xerophthalmia and xerosto-mia. While Sjögren’s-like syndrome is well-documented in human medicine, it is rare inveterinary practice, with limited case reports in dogs and cats. This case report describesan 8-year-old female miniature Schnauzer diagnosed with Sjögren’s-like syndrome fol-lowing an initial presentation of seizures, hypersalivation and neck swelling. The dog’shistory included hypothyroidism and treatment for keratoconjunctivitis sicca. Initialtreatment with phenobarbital did not resolve the salivary gland. Following a literaturereview and ultrasonographic findings, Sjögren’s-like syndrome was diagnosed. Treat-ment with cyclophosphamide resulted in a reduction in salivary gland swelling. Thiscase underscores the challenges in diagnosing Sjögren’s-like syndrome in veterinarymedicine and emphasises the urgent need for increased awareness and research intothis rare animal condition
