Özet

We investigated the role of Na-nitroprussid induced controlled hypotension on oxydative stress and antioxidant responses in short term tourniquet application model in rabbits. Thirty rabbits were randomly divided into two groups (n=15). In-group 1 (the control group), after 2 min of lower extremity elevation, tourniquet was inflated and normotension was maintanined for 30 min. In-group 2 (the controlled hypotension group) after 2 min of lower extremity elevation and before tourniquet inflation, Na-nitroprussid infusion was initiated. Controlled hypotension was maintained as systolic blood pressure levels decreased to %50 compared with initial systolic artery pressure. In both groups, after 30 min of tourniquet application, tourniquet was deflated as Na-nitroprussid infusion stopped in-group 2. We taken blood samples for malon di aldehyde and superoxide dismutase levels at the beginning of the study, before tourniquet deflation and after the 30 minutes of tourniquet deflation. In both groups, malon di aldehyde and superoxide dismutase levels were not differences between groups during tourniquet and after tourniquet application (p>0.05). In both groups there was a significant malon di aldehyde increament during tournique application and after tourniquet deflation, compared to the initial malon di aldehyde levels. Also, in both groups there was a significant superoxide dismutase decreament during tourniquet application and after tourniquet deflation compared to the initial superoxide dismutase levels In "tourniquet application", the malon di aldehyde and superoxide dismutase levels were not significantly differences in normotansive group (control) and Na-nitroprussid induced-controlled hypotension group.
