Ebeler ve hemşireler bakım vermek gibi karmaşık bir sağlık hizmeti sunmaktadırlar. Verilen bakımın ve alınan
kararların sürekli gözden geçirilerek birey için uygunluğunun ve etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi, daha etkili ve
düşük maliyetle verilecek hizmet yollarının araştırılmasına olanak sağlamaktadır. Hızla değişen ve gelişen çağa
uyum sağlayabilmek için ebelerin ve hemşirelerin inovatif yaklaşımları benimsemeleri önem kazanmaktadır. Hem
bir süreç (yenileme ve yenilenme) hem de bir sonuç (yenilik) olan inovasyon toplumsal, ekonomik ve bilimsel
olarak başarının anahtarıdır. Bilim ve teknolojideki ilerlemelerin sağlık alanına önemli ölçüde yansıması; ebe ve
hemşirelerin inovatif projeler ve buluşlarda aktif olması gereksinimini arttırmıştır. Bu bağlamda; 2006 yılından
itibaren Türkiye’de ebe ve hemşireler tarafından pek çok başarılı buluş hayata geçirilmiştir. Bu buluşların hepsi
ebe ve hemşirelerin iyi gözlemcilik ve yüksek yaratıcılık kabiliyetlerini kullanarak sahadaki ihtiyaçları tespit
edebilmeleri ve çözümlemeleri sayesinde ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu derleme, ebe ve hemşirelerin inovatif düşünmedeki
konumu ve Türkiye’deki patent sistemi hakkında bilgi sunmak amacıyla yazılmıştır.

Midwives and nurses provide a complex health service such as giving care. Evaluating the appropriateness and
effectiveness of the care and the decisions for the patients, enables the search for more effective and low-cost
service methods. In order to adapt to the rapidly developing world in the age of science and technology, it is
possible to be open to innovations, to analyze, to produce and to present what they produce by making them useful
to the society. Innovation, which is a concept includes both a process (renewal and renewal process) and a result
(innovation); is the key to success socioeconomically and scientifically. Significant reflection of advances in
science and technology in the field of health; It has increased the need for midwives and nurses to be active in
innovative projects and inventions. In this context; since 2006, many successful inventions have been implemented
by midwives and nurses in Turkey. All of these inventions have emerged thanks to the ability of midwives and
nurses to identify and analyze the needs in the field by using their good observation and high creativity skills. This
review was made to provide information about the position of midwives and nurses in innovative thinking and the
patent system in Türkiye.
