Serviks kanseri önlenebilir olmasına rağmen halen
dünya çapında kadın kanserleri arasında en sık teşhis
edilen 4. kanserdir. Diğer taraftan etkin tarama
yöntemleri ile tedavi edilebilir olması ve aşısının
olması ile önlenebilen bir kanser türüdür. Kanser
konusunda en önemli kontrol stratejisi primer ve
sekonder korunmadır. Serviks kanserinin primer
korunmasında risk faktörlerinin önlenmesi, sağlık
eğitimlerinin verilmesi ve HPV aşılaması yer alırken,
sekonder korunmada ise tarama programları ile erken
teşhis amaçlanmaktadır. Bu derlemede serviks
kanserinden korunma yolları hakkında genel bir bilgi
verilmesi amaçlandı.

Although cervical cancer is preventable, it is still the 4th most commonly diagnosed female cancer worldwide. On the other hand, it is a type of cancer that can be treated with effective screening methods and prevented with a vaccine. The most important control strategy for cancer is primary and secondary prevention. Primary prevention of cervical cancer includes preventing risk factors, providing health education and HPV vaccination, secondary prevention aims at early diagnosis through screening programs. This review aimed to give general information about ways to protect against cervical cancer. Keywords: HPV, Prevention, Cervical cancer, Scanning methods
