This study seeks an answer for the system model achieves better performance whether the relay or destination terminal is affected by a finite number of co-channel interference. The investigation considers uni-directional amplify-and-forward based half/full-duplex relaying network in the system model. The investigation considers two different types of cases for the cochannel interference effects. The first case considers that only the relay terminal is affected by a finite number of co-channel interference. The second case considers that only the destination terminal is affected by a finite number of co-channel interference. Analytical, asymptotic, and intensive computer simulation results reveal that case I and case II achieve a similar outage and throughput performance.
