Abstract
This study presents wideband symmetric lattice phase shifter designs with low phase error, low loss, and high linearity for 5G and beyond communication systems. Maximum phase errors for 180°, 135°, 90°, and 45° are achieved as 0.5°, 1.9°, 0.8°, and 0.7° respectively, in the 3.3-4.2 GHz band. Control circuits with compact and very low power consumption are obtained by utilizing CMOS transistors as switching elements in the phase shifter topologies. 0.18μm CMOS transistor technology parameters are used in the design and simulations. It is demonstrated that, compact, precise and efficient lattice-type integrated phase shifters can be achieved for the 5G and beyond communication systems by utilizing the proposed method.
