Özet
The aim of the study is to examine the creativity of gifted students in the 7th grade "Electric" unit in the context of STEM based robotics applications. Qualitative research method was used in the research. The research data were collected using the "Robotic Project Notebook" during the research. Robotic project notebook, Torrance Creative Thinking Test's fluency (the number of ideas produced for a certain stimulus), flexibility (the ability to develop thought in different categories against a stimulus), elaboration (the ability to enrich a stimulus by making different additions) and originality (the result is a different product. put) on the basis of sub-dimensions. The research took 12 lesson hours in total, 4 lesson hours for pre-application and 8 lesson hours for the application. In the preliminary application, the robotic materials to be used in the project and the interface program were introduced. Within the scope of the application, a sample robot was first made. Later, these materials were left to the students to build their robots. 12 gifted students studying at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce Science and Art Center in the 2017-2018 academic year participated in the research. The qualitative data of the research were analyzed using descriptive and content analysis. Thanks to this application, which has been differentiated according to the findings obtained from the "Robotic Project Notebook", it was determined that students developed different perspectives regarding the solution of the problems they encountered in attaching the mechanical parts and using the interface program, found many solutions quickly and detailed, and elaborated on these products. Suggestions for future studies can be listed as; "It is essential for the researchers who will do robotics applications within the scope of STEM education to introduce these robotic materials to the students within the scope of the pre-application and have a sample activity before starting the application. The students' experience with robotic materials thanks to the pre-application will make the application of the research more efficient. ","Since the STEM curriculum gives more place to practice, the researcher should use his time efficiently in order to give the gain he wants to give in certain course hours. It is extremely beneficial for the researcher to have an assistant instructor in order to use the time more efficiently." and "STEM-based robotics applications can be applied at different grade levels of the science and technology course (4th, 5th, 6th and 8th grade).
