Özet

Many studies have been done by examining the intravascular flow of blood and changing the flow according to blood parameters. Evaluation of these parameters can be applied by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) using cine phase-contrast (PC). With the increase in computer power, blood flow has been possible to simulate with computational fluid mechanics in recent years. Thus, instead of displaying many cases, how the blood flow changes with its parameters can be calculated computationally more easily. In this study, the effect of vascular diameter ratios on blood flow in bifurcation was investigated. Blood flow was modelled in two dimensions via FEniCS, flow rate and surface tensions were determined. Then, the diameter ratios were changed and the effects of this situation on the flow were examined. The numerical solutions were compared with other studies in the literature and the differences were interpreted. The compatibility of the model with other studies in the literature has been observed.
