Özet

After a major earthquake or flood, the importance of functional bridges cannot be overstated. Bridges’ significance becomes unmistakable during times of crisis, particularly in the aftermath of natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. In the destroy of a functional bridge, search and rescue efforts can be interrupted and the affected people number may increase and face isolation and delayed assistance. In recent years, Turkey has witnessed several devastating earthquakes and floods that have severely impacted its infrastructure, including bridges. This article explores the critical role bridges play in ensuring emergency services and disaster recovery in Turkey, shedding light on the rapid measures taken to address damaged bridges in the wake of recent earthquakes and floods.
