Özet

Objective: The aim of the study is to determine the perception of manager support of healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 epidemic and to reveal the importance of manager support in this process. The purpose of this research is to conduct to adapt it to Turkish culture by revealing the validity and reliability of the Manager Support Perception Scale" with scientific data. Material and Method: The research was conducted using the systematic random sampling method with 365 healthcare workers at a university hospital in Istanbul. A Manager Support Perception Scale adaptation study was conducted to determine the managerial support perceived by healthcare workers during the COVID-19 epidemic. During the scale adaptation phase, language, content and structural validity were tested. In the evaluation of the data, explaratory and confirmatory factor analysis for structure validity, Cronbach's alpha value was used to ensure reliability. Results: Validity and reliability studies of the "Manager Support Perception Scale" were carried out and its cultural adaptation was carried out. Confirmatory Factor Analysis(CFA) results in the adaptation study of the "Manager Support Perception Scale" to Turkish culture: Chi-Square Goodness of Fit Index (chi 2/df)=4.45, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA)=0.09, Comparative Fit Index (CFI)=0.98, Goodness of fit index (GFI)=0.88, Normed Fit Index (NFI)= 0.98, Incremental Fit Index (IFI)=0.98, Root Mean Square Residual (RMR)=0.039 and Standardized Root Mean Square Residual (sRMR)=0.028 were found. It was determined that the fit values were good. Reliability results of the scale Cronbach's alpha coefficient value is 0.96. As a result of the research, significant differences were found between the perception of manager support of healthcare professionals and demographic variables such as gender, education, position-title and length of service in the profession. Female healthcare workers'perception of managerial support was found to be higher than male healthcare workers. Nurses, high school graduates and employees with 11-15 years of experience in the profession constitute the group that feels the most managerial support. Conclusion: It has been determined that the Manager Support Perception Scale is a valid and reliable evaluation form to determine managerial support during the epidemic process.
