Bu araştırmanın amacı milli güreşçilerin sportmenlik yönelimdüzeylerini incelemektir. Araştırma tekniği olarak nicel araştırmayöntemlerinden betimsel ve ilişkisel tarama tekniği kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın evrenini, 2018 Avrupa Şampiyonası öncesinde son hazırlıkgrubundaki 65 milli güreşçi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma grubunu 42güreşçi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılartarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ile, daha önceden geliştirilen(Vallerand vd, 1997) ve Türkçe’ye uyarlanan (Balçıkanlı, 2010)“Sportmenlik Yönelim Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Ölçek 5’li likert tipindedir,20 madde ile 4 alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre,katılımcıların genel itibariyle sporda sorumluluklara ve sosyal normlarabağlı oldukları, kurallara ve yönetime saygılı oldukları söylenebilir. Endüşük ortalama rakiplerine saygı yönelimi alt boyutundadır. Erkek milligüreşçilerin kadın milli güreşçilere göre rakibe saygı yönelimlerinin dahafazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Eğitim değişkenine göre önlisans-lisansmezunu katılımcılar lise mezunlarına göre daha yüksek düzeyde görüşbildirmişlerdir. Katılımcıların genel itibariyle sporda sorumluluklara vesosyal normlara bağlı oldukları, kurallara ve yönetime saygılı olduklarısöylenebilir. En düşük ortalama rakiplerine saygı yönelimi alt boyutunaait olsa da ortalama düzeyin üzerinde çıkması olumlu olarakdeğerlendirilmektedir. Fair play kavramının gün geçtikçe daha fazlaönem kazandığı son yıllarda, araştırmamızın bu sonucunun fair playkavramınındahafazlakabulgörmesi,yaygınlaşmasıvebenimsenmesinin de bir sonucu olarak düşünülmektedir. Ancak yine dedaha üst düzeyde sportmenlik anlayışının benimsenmesi sağlanmalıdır.
This research aims to examine the national wrestlers’ sportpersonship level. Descriptive statistics and relational screening techniques were used as research techniques. The population of the study was 65 national wrestlers in the final preparation group before the 2018 European Championship. The research group consisted of 42 wrestlers. A personal information form prepared by the researchers as a data collection tool, the form Multidimensional Sportspersonship Orientation Scale, which was previously developed (Vallerad et al, 1997) and adapted into Turkish (Balçıkanlı, 2010), was used. The scale is 5- point Likert type and consists of 20 items and four sub-dimensions. According to the findings, it can be said that the participants are generally dependent on the responsibilities and social norms in the sport and that they respect the rules and the management. The lowest average is the sub-dimension of respect for competitors. It has been determined that male national wrestlers are more likely to respect opponents than female national wrestlers. According to the education variable, undergraduate graduates have higher level opinions than high school graduates. It can be said that the participants generally depend on the responsibilities and social norms in the sport and respect the rules and management. In recent years, when the concept of fair play has become more and more important, this result of our research is considered as a result of the acceptance, spread and adoption of the concept of fair play. However, it should be ensured that a higher level of sportsmanship is adopted.
