Natural disasters can have serious physical and psychological effects on people. The impact of events on individuals may also differ from person to person. People try to make sense of events according to their characteristics. This research aimed to describe what students experienced after the earthquake (06 February 2023, Turkey) by conducting qualitative research with gifted students after the earthquake disaster. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with 17 gifted individuals aged between 10 and 17 (M = 13.35, Sd = 2.80), and interview questions prepared by the researchers were directed to the participants. After the research, qualitative interviews and thematic analysis were conducted. According to this thematic analysis, two main themes were identified. These themes were defined as 'Waking up with an earthquake' and 'After the earthquake'. Within the framework of the findings, practical suggestions are presented to professionals, parents, and teachers who provide psychological help services.
