Anterior mediastinal lymphangiomas are very rare in utero with only a few cases reported in literature. We present a case of anterior mediastinal lymphangioma that was diagnosed on prenatal sonography (US) at 22 weeks' gestation. It appeared as a well-defined, multi-septated anechoic mass, in the anterior mediastinum between the heart base and right chest wall. There was no solid component and no internal flow on color Doppler US. The pre- and postnatal US findings are correlated with prenatal MRI and postnatal CT findings. (c) 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
