Özet

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia has emerged as an important cause of morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients. Because trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (TMP-SMX) remains the most effective drug for the treatment of S. maltophilia infections, desensitization should be considered in patients with hypersensitivity to TMP-SMX. © 2007 Japanese Society of Chemotherapy and The Japanese Association for Infectious Diseases.
