Symptomatic autistiform behavior is not uncommon after the various parinatal and postnatal insults to the brain. It is also well known that cortical visual impairment may occur after hypoxia or parinatal asphyxia. In this article, the rare co-existence of cortical visual impairment with autistic behavior is discussed in relation to the relevant studies in the literature.
