It is well-known that zirconia-based ceramics are widely used because of their electrical and mechanical properties, and they exhibit a high ionic conductivity at elevated temperatures and are applied in electrochemical cells such as fuel cells, oxygen sensors or oxygen pumps. In this study, firstly Y-PSZ (Yttria Partially Stabilized Zirconia) powders were added to the boehmitic solution derived by sol-gel method and then mixed mechanically for 2 hours. Later, boehmitic sol coated Y-PSZ powders were dried at 120°C for 8 hours and heat treated at 550°C for 3 hours. Obtained Y-PSZAl2O3 powders were grinded in the agat mortar for 0, 3, 6 hours respectively. Those powders were characterized by EDS, FTIR, SEM and XRD methods.
