Özet

Two children with history of breath holding spells developed a brief period of apnea and opisthotonic posture following lumbar epidural morphine for postoperative pain management. The same findings repeated 5 hours later in the first case without stimulation and in the second case with pain. Differential diagnosis and possible aetiological factors presented.
