Biography

Sadullah Öztürk graduated from Marmara University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Physics in 2006. He received his master's degree from Gebze Institute of Technology, Institute of Engineering and Science in 2009 with his thesis on "Production of ZnO and Doped ZnO Nanowires for Gas Sensor Applications". In the following period, he completed his doctoral education in the same department with his thesis on “Production, Characterization and Investigation of Application Areas of ZnO Nanohetero-Constructed Materials” in 2014 and received the title of doctorate. He was awarded the title of associate professor in 2018.

In 2013, he worked as a visiting researcher at the "Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA)" research institute in Brindisi, Italy. In 2019, the Gas Detectors Group (RD51) was selected as a researcher within the body of the “Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire (CERN)” European Center for Nuclear Research in Geneva, Switzerland. He continues to work on the project "Research and Development Studies for New Micro-Structured Gas Detectors in the Framework of CERN RD51 Cooperation", which he started in 2020 with the support of the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mining Research Institute. He has national and international publications on nanomaterial synthesis, electrical, structural and optical characterizations and research of sensor properties. He conducts scientific studies on gas sensors and detector systems.

Between 2007-2014, he worked as a research assistant at Gebze Technical University, Department of Physics. Between 2014-2020, he worked as a lecturer at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Faculty of Engineering. Between 2017-2020, he worked as the director of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University Biomedical Electronic Device, Design Application and Research Center. He has been working in Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Institute of Nanotechnology and Biotechnology, Department of Nanotechnology since 2020.
