Prof. PINAR ATUKEREN

Dr. Pinar Atukeren was born in Istanbul on May 1975. She is a senior Professor in Biochemistry teaching in Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty, Department of Medical Biochemistry. She got her Ph.D. degree in 2005 in the same department. She has been awarded the National Research Grant For Successful Students from the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey. Her research interests are oxidative and nitrosative stress, free radicals and antioxidants, neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumors and aging. Dr. Atukeren has published more than 50 papers in SCI and SCI-Exp indexed journals and edited and wrote both international and national books and book chapters. She is a reviewer for many international peer review journals. She attended many conferences and workshops, and involved in many training courses and consultations. She is the Head of Animal Welfare and Ethics Committee and member of Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit of Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa. At the community level, Dr.Atukeren is an active member in a number of governmental and nongovernmental societies and committees.
