Biography
Betül BATIR is Professor in the Hasan Âli Yücel Faculty of Education at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Istanbul, Turkey. Her teaching and research interests include history of European and Turkish education systems. Her historical research has focused on educational politics of last period Ottoman Empire and early period Turkish Republic (the subject of her Phd thesis), and comparative education. She is currently working in Europe and the United Kingdom the effects of educational systems to Turkey
