TÜBA Young Academy Member & Founder of the Biomaterials and Nanotechnology Research Group | BioNanoTeam, Zeki Candan, has been selected for the EU COST Working Group on Industrial Symbiosis.

Efforts have intensified in the transition from a linear economy to a circular economy to mitigate the damages caused by climate change, which affects the entire world. The circular economy should be addressed in a balanced manner across societal, environmental, and economic dimensions. While industrial symbiosis generates economic benefits, it also makes significant contributions to environmental sustainability. The relevant COST Action aims to raise awareness of industrial symbiosis across Europe, build a crucial bridge between theory and practice, and develop new strategies.
