TUBA Young Academy Member and Founder of Biomaterials and Nanotechnology Research Group | BioNanoTeam Zeki Candan was elected to the European Union COST Action CA21121 Working Group. In order to overcome the environmental crisis facing humanity, new materials with increased performance and durability are urgently needed. There is room for significant progress at the nanoscale, where different properties emerge. Research on this length scale has strongly intensified in the last two decades. The relevant COST Working Group aims to combine the expertise and resources of European researchers to overcome the different bottlenecks limiting the investigation of size effects.
